On Saturday, March 29th, Bishop Briggs brought the girl power to her sold-out show in Boston on the final night of her Tell My Therapist I’m Fine tour, accompanied by supporting artist Ellise. The London-born singer and songwriter made it a point to perform music from her new album as well as older fan favorites for those who have been following her from day one.

Briggs is well known for her hit song “River,” which has garnered over 600 million streams on Spotify and earned platinum and silver accreditations from Music Canada, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and the British Phonographic Industry. You may also recognize her as Medusa from Season 9 of The Masked Singer, where she was crowned champion over pop singer David Archuleta.

Briggs opened her set with songs from her newest album, including “My Serotonin,” “I’m Not a Machine,” and “Hurt Me Now.” Lyrics from these tracks explore deep emotions related to love, loss, and the pressures we experience in everyday life. The singer opened up about her ongoing struggle with the loss of her sister and how songwriting has helped her process the emotions that come with it. It’s clear how down-to-earth she is, both as an artist and as a person.

Not to mention—her energy during performances never fails to impress. Briggs covered every corner of the stage, bouncing around while belting out hits like “Wild Horses,” “White Flag,” and “Hallowed Ground” from her 2018 album Church of Scars.

Smiling from ear to ear, she was eager to give a fan from the crowd, Cadance, the microphone to sing the intro to her final song of the night—“River,” of course. Briggs had the crowd fully captivated for the final moments of her performance.

Next time she comes to town, you won’t want to miss her.

Go check out her newly released album
